Our Team

Rob Johnston
Managing Director
Our managing director Rob has decades of experience in the renewable energy industry, having worked extensively in the domestic and commercial sectors.
He started his working life as a physics teacher, and so, as many of our customers constantly say, he is also great at explaining the science behind the technologies in a clear and understandable way.

Tom Eggerton
Technical Director
Technical director Tom came to us from a career as an aerospace test engineer, where he developed his deep technical knowledge and attention to detail.
Having every qualification you can imagine, he deals with all things technical from site surveys and installations to MCS certification and compliance.

Creag Louttit-Vermaat
Business Development Manager
Creag’s studied maths and business at university, was a maths teacher and then spent 10 years working as a luthier before pursuing a career in renewables.
As well as developing Green Team One’s online presence and trying to find more people who may want solar, Creag is learning the company’s detailed design approach from Rob and Tom as the junior system designer.

Allan Farr
Project Manager
Allan’s previous career was as a project manager in food manufacturing. He holds formal project management qualifications and has transferred those skills into the renewable energy industry.
He is also a keen golfer and rower.

Debs Dunham

In her spare time, Debs loves hiking with her dog Kaiser, spending time with family and friends and having fun.

Ben Mansfield
Retrofit Manager
Ben spent 7 years with the army before being medically discharged due to an injury to his leg. Since then, he has worked in the retrofit industry, initially fitting insulation and then progressing to his current position, overseeing teams of installers for all Eco4 measures.
In his rare spare time, he enjoys snowboarding and golf.

Scott Johnston

Scott studied Law at University, and manages compliance for Green Team One.
Having worked for many years in renewable energy, he is well placed to make sure the company is compliant and delivering expert services for our customers.

Joshua Watts
Electrician
After studying sports at Hartbury College, Josh started an apprenticeship as an electrician in 2018. He’s learned the craft over time, and in 2024 he gained his renewables certifications.
He plays football for Longlevens, and is a big Chelsea fan.

Tom Lowery

Tom is an experienced electrician who has been involved in renewables in many forms for many years.
He is also a keen climber and enduro mountain biker.

Amy Kosmala

Now her boys are a bit bigger, she is enjoying returning to site between school hours.

Simon Whiteway
Software Specialist
Simon has undergraduate and Masters degrees in Military History, which he has never used even once in his decade of administrative and project management experience. Instead, he looks after all the exciting paperwork and spreadsheets behind the scenes at Green Team One.
Simon has two toddlers so his hobbies mostly include tidying up and running about after them. He has no regrets.

Matt Burnell
System Designer
Matt works part-time for Green Team One as a renewable systems designer and surveyor, having had various roles in renewables for over a decade. Since 2020, Matt has developed a keen interest in solar panel recycling, reuse and end-of-life, and on his off-days undertakes research in this field with the University of Exeter and ReSolar Ltd. He also sits as vice-chair of Solar Energy UK’s Responsible Sourcing Group.
When Matt is not thinking about solar panels, he attempts to play football and can occasionally be found strumming a guitar.
