Grant Funding Available for Businesses’ Sustainability Measures

Wiltshire council have announced an extension of their scheme offering support for local businesses and community buildings looking to go green.
Funding is available to support 50% of the costs of businesses installing renewable energy solutions.
The subsidy covers work including:
- Solar PV Panels
- Battery Storage
- EV charging
- Air Sourced Heat Pumps
Grants are available for up to £30,000
Eligibility
To qualify, businesses must be:
- operating in Wiltshire and have a business address within the boundary of Wiltshire Council https://www.gov.uk/find-local-council
- a small/medium-size enterprise, with fewer than 250 employees and annual turnover not exceeding €50m/balance sheet not exceeding €43m
- A community building* with a commercial function, for example renting out space, running a café.
*A community building is a building with the primary objective to improve the area, neighbourhood, and/or community and its social welfare and recreation. It can include village halls, community halls, places of worship and youth centres but excludes schools.
Exclusions
- primary agriculture and fisheries
- schools
- public-sector funded organisations (unless parish or town councils)
- businesses/organisations operating in Swindon borough.
